Popping in to share a birthday card amidst the whirlwind of holiday crafting that is taking place right now. Making this card was a nice break from all the Christmas and Valentine’s day projects that have taken over my craft studio for what seems like weeks now!

I went back to the Postage Collage Bundle for this card and I have so much fun every time I use the die and stencils included in the set. I didn’t really have a plan for this one, I just went in with some of my favorite ink colors and started stenciling. I added lots of little embellishment details and chose red and aqua for the air mail border. The red and aqua border makes me want to revisit the coordinating Christmas Stencil and make another Christmas card with this bundle. So, my little break from holiday crafting isn’t going to last very long! I’ve listed all the steps and supplies below. Thanks for stopping by my happy place!
STEPS
1.) Die cut the Postage Collage Frame from white cardstock. Using the three layering stencils and your choice of ink colors, stencil the images. I used a variety of Distress and Pawsitively Saturated Inks.
2.) Stamp as many or as few of the icons, rates and sentiments from the coordinating Postage Collage Stamp Set that you want in black ink. I love these little stamps and find it hard not to go overboard every time I use them.
3.) Attach your sentiments and some embellishment details with liquid adhesive. I heat embossed “Birthday” in white on black cardstock and used the smallest die from a set of nesting, scallop dies to die cut it. I die cut it twice so I could stack them. I stamped “Wishes” in black on white cardstock and die cut it with a coordinating die, two times, so I could stack them too. For the embellishments, I used a blue clay star, some enamel dots, gold confetti stars and an enamel heart.
4.) Stencil the air mail border on an A2 sized, white card panel. I used red and aqua for this two layer stencil. Attach the your completed postage frame to this card panel with liquid adhesive. Then, glue to a side-fold card base.
