My project features the new Star Cover Plate. In my book, this is a must-have. I think it can be used for almost any occasion, and I already have ideas brewing for Halloween and Christmas!
I chose not to use the patterned stars that are die cut from the cover plate and instead used the negative spaces to allow a pretty, rainbow-blended background to peek through. Then, I added a sprinkling of the Bright Rainbow Clay Confetti, which, by the way, is already on my list to reorder. My sentiments are from the previously released Birthday Scripts Stamp Set, and from the new Sentiment Strips: Birthday Stamp Set. There are coordinating dies for the Birthday Scripts and I used the popular Sentiment Strips Dies for the little sub-sentiment.

More details about this card design can be found below. Be sure to hop along with all the designers over on Instagram, starting with Pretty Pink Posh, and then hop along each day through February 15th. Thanks for visiting!

STEPS

1.) Starting with a piece of white cardstock cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, ink blend the background using your favorite ink colors. I used Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salvaged Patina Distress Inks.
2.) Die cut the Star Cover Plate from white cardstock two times. Stack the panels together and secure with liquid adhesive. Save the stars for another project.
3.) Glue the stacked panels onto the ink-blended background.
4.) Stamp the larger sentiment in blue and die cut using the coordinating dies. I used the die to again, die cut another scrap piece of cardstock to stack behind the sentiment. This adds a little dimension and some substance to the die cut.
5.) Heat emboss the sub-sentiment in white on blue cardstock and die cut using a sentiment strip die.
6.) Glue the sentiments to the card panel.
7.) Add some rainbow confetti for embellishment. I glued my little pieces next to the coordinating color of my background.
8.) Secure the panel to an A2 side-fold card base with liquid adhesive.
