Happy Friday friends! In my craft room, I’m still celebrating Pretty Pink Posh‘s 10th Birthday, and today I’m sharing another project using some of the amazing things from the latest release. I made a rainbow of Birthday Candles and lined them up over a shaker window filled with, you guessed it, Bright Rainbow Clay Confetti! I think the reason I love this happy little confetti so much is because it just screams celebration.
I used scrap pieces of cardstock for the candles, pulling the colors right from the confetti and then topping them off with a little matte gold cardstock.
For the background, I used blue cardstock and the new Pierced Stars Plate. I blended a little Broken China Distress Ink around the edges and added a scattering of gold stars die cut from the Party Balloons set.

STEPS
1.) Create the background and the frame for the shaker.
Die cut two panels using the Pierced Stars Plate from light blue cardstock. Use Broken China Distress Ink to darken the edges of one panel and set aside. Die cut the medium Eyelet Rectangle from the center of the other panel. Save the eyelet rectangle for another project. This will be the shaker window frame. I trimmed the sides to measure approximately 3 3/4 x 4 5/8. Die cut another frame, with the same measurements, from plain white cardstock
2.) Die cut and assemble all the elements.
Use a variety of colored cardstock to create the candles. Use matte gold cardstock for the flames and the stars from the Party Balloons set. Use matte gold and vellum for the Birthday Shadow die. Assemble the candles and word die, securing with liquid adhesive.
3.) Assemble the shaker.
a) Secure the candles along the bottom backside of the blue frame with liquid adhesive, trimming them if needed. Attach thin foam squares between the candles. Cut the bottom off the white frame from step 1 , leaving the other three sides in tack. Glue this to the back of the blue frame. This will create the same thickness around the frame allowing it to lay flat when including the candles and the thin foam squares along the bottom.
b.) Cut a piece of acetate to the same size as the frame. Attach to the back of the frame using double-sided tape around three of the sides and the thin foam squares that are along the bottom. Attach foam strips around the shaker window directly to the acetate creating the well for the confetti pieces.
c.) Glue a few stars to the center area of the full sized Pierced Stars panel. Add the confetti pieces to the same center area. Remove the release paper from the foam strips on the shaker window and carefully center on the full size panel over the confetti.
4.) Add sentiments.
Attach the assembled Birthday Shadow to the front of the acetate with double-sided tape. Heat emboss the sub-sentiment in white on light blue cardstock. Die cut with a sentiment strip and secure to the acetate with more double-sided tape.
5.) Embellish and finish.
Glue a few more gold stars to the card front and attach everything to a side-fold card base.
