Pretty Pink Posh Rainbow Shamrock Shaker

What could be better than some rainbow shamrocks on the Friday before St. Patty’s? Well, maybe a rainbow shamrock shaker is better, and my card today has it all. I used all the new St. Patty’s Day products from Pretty Pink Posh to create this bright and happy Lucky card.

For my background panel, I used the Layered Shamrocks Stencils and a rainbow of Pawsitively Saturated Inks on white cardstock. This created the perfect backdrop for some of the Stitched Shamrocks and the Shamrock Shaker in coordinating rainbow colors. I filled my shaker with Bright Rainbow Clay Confetti and finished my card design with the new Lucky Shadow Die in the signature Pretty Pink Posh scripty font that is hard not to love. Rounding out my card design are sub-sentiments from Lawn Fawn, making this a card that any bestie would be thrilled to receive.

All the happy details for my card design, including the rest of the supplies I used, are listed below. Thanks for stopping by friends!

STEPS

1.) Create the background.
▪️ Using the Layered Shamrock Stencils and a white A2 cardstock panel, stencil the shamrocks in five rainbow colors, starting at the top left corner and moving at a diagonal across the card panel for both layers creating the card front.
▪️ Die cut a frame from the card front panel using a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 stitched frame. Attach just the stitched frame to a white A2 card panel creating the base for the shaker card. Set aside.
2.) Create the shaker opening.
▪️ Using the shamrock shaker die, die cut just the smaller, inside shamrock from the stenciled card front creating the shaker window. Discard or save this piece for another project.
▪️ Using the larger shamrock frame die, die cut a piece of acetate for the window. Set aside.
3.) Create the shaker.
▪️ Die cut both shamrock pieces together from white cardstock creating a frame for the shamrock on the card front and the smaller shamrock for the background of the shaker window. Color both pieces with green ink.
▪️ Use the stenciled card front panel with the shamrock window opening as a template to place the green shamrock background on the A2 card base with the stitched frame from step 1, and secure with liquid adhesive.
▪️ Secure the acetate piece to the reverse side of the stenciled card front panel, covering the shamrock opening, using double-sided tape.
▪️ Attach foam tape to the reverse side of the stenciled card front panel, surrounding the acetate, creating a well for shaker material.
▪️ Place shaker material in the well. Remove release paper from the foam tape.
▪️ Place the A2 card base with the stitched frame onto the stenciled card front panel with the foam tape.
4.) Die cut the remaining shamrocks and color with the remaining rainbow ink colors. Attach to the card front with glue and foam squares.
5.) Die cut the Lucky Shadow Die. Use white cardstock for the script piece and vellum for the shadow piece. Use liquid adhesive to secure the pieces together and then also secure to the card front.
6.) Stamp the sub-sentiments and die cut with sentiment strips. Attach with foam squares.
7.) Attach to a side fold A2 card base.
