Spellbinders Spring Basket

Happy Easter! Today, I’m sharing this Spellbinder’s basket filled with all the spring things. I used dies from both the Large and Small Die of the Month from February to create this sweet scene, adding an Easter egg to the basket and then nestling the basket in some grass. The dies are already so detailed, but to really bring them to life, I started with colored cardstock and added Distress Inks for some shading and depth. A Fancy Wavy Banner from Lawn Fawn is perfect for a spring sentiment heat embossed in white. To finish the card, just a few pretty pearls are all that’s needed.

Step by step instructions and a supply list can be found below. Thanks for visiting today!

STEPS

1.) Die cut all the elements for the card from colored cardstock.
2.) Add shading to the die cuts with Distress Inks and a small blending brush.
3.) Assemble the die cuts and secure with liquid adhesive.
4.) Use the largest Blanket Stitched Rectangle Die from Pink Fresh Studio to die cut light blue cardstock for the card front. Attach this to an A2 side-fold card base with liquid adhesive.
5.) Glue the taller grass to the light blue card front. Attach the shorter grass in the foreground with foam squares.
6.) Tuck the basket between the grass panels and attach with thin foam squares.
7.) Tuck all the elements into the basket, trimming if needed, and secure with a combination of foam squares and liquid adhesive.
8.) Die cut the sentiment banner from yellow cardstock and white heat emboss the sentiment. Add Distress Ink to the edges of the banner for shading and attach to the card front with thin foam squares.
9.) Add pearl embellishments.
