Simon Says Stamp Flower Block Quartet

Sometimes you need a stamp set that can deliver beautiful results quickly, easily, and mess-free. And bonus points if it can be tailored to a variety of occasions. This Flower Block stamp set from a recent Simon Says Stamp release, Be Bold, checks all the boxes. So, I made a quartet of cards with some of my favorite Pawsitively Saturated Ink colors, including some of the newer color trios.

I love the printmaking style of the block image, and along with the scale of the design, it makes this set incredibly versatile. I chose to pair all of my color combinations with the Wonky Trapezoid background stamp released way back during Stamptember! I knew I was saving it for something good.

These cards really did come together in no time. Just some stamping, a couple of passes through a die cutting machine, and some enamel dots for embellishment.

More details about these cards are listed below, including step-by-step instructions, and a full list of the supplies I used are listed below. Thanks for checking out today’s post!

STEPS

1.) Stamp and die cut the Flower Blocks.
▪️ For each card, chose three ink colors and stamp the three layers on white cardstock to complete the flower block. I chose a darker color for the flowers, and then for the background, either the medium or lightest tone in the same color family. For the leaves, I chose a green that coordinated with the other colors.
▪️ Die cut each flower block with the coordinating die.
2.) Create the backgrounds.
▪️ Using the same darker color as the flowers, stamp the background design on white cardstock panels measuring 4 x 5 1/4.
▪️ Attach the stamped panels to coordinating colored cardstock panels measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 with liquid adhesive.
3.) Create sentiments.
▪️ Stamp sentiments in the same darker color as the backgrounds and die cut with the coordinating sentiment strip dies.
4.) Assemble the cards.
▪️ Use a ruler to center the flower blocks on the coordinating background panels and attach with liquid adhesive.
▪️ Attach the coordinating sentiments to the center of the flower blocks with liquid adhesive.
▪️ Attach embellishments.
▪️ Attach everything to A2 side-fold card bases.
