Hi friends! I couldn’t wait to use the Honey Bee Stamps’ Lovely Layers: Sweetheart Roses again and decided to cover an entire A2 card front with them. I chose pretty peachy blush colors for my layers this time and placed them vining across a background made with a 3D embossing folder from Spellbinders and beautiful salmon-colored cardstock.
I used Lawn Fawn products for the rest of my card design, including the Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle frame that I die cut from soft peach cardstock. The sentiment is from the new Henry’s Build-A-Sentiment: Spring and it fits perfectly across one of my favorite Wavy Banner dies.
I finished my card by embellishing with Pastel Pearl Stickers from Honey Bee Stamps. If you’re interested you can find more detailed instructions listed below. Thanks so much for stopping by!

STEPS
1.) Create the background.
▪️ Lightly spritz a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of salmon-colored cardstock with water and then emboss with the 3D embossing folder by running it through your die cut machine following the recommended sandwich.
▪️ Die cut the largest Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle from peach cardstock. Die cut another one from the same peach or white cardstock and stack them, securing with liquid adhesive to create a sturdier frame.
▪️ Attach the rectangle frame to the embossed card panel with liquid adhesive.
2.) Create the sweetheart roses.
▪️ Die cut the all the elements for the roses from white cardstock three times.
▪️ Use a sticky or grip mat to hold die cuts and apply ink with small and detail brushes. I used three peachy pink colors, ranging from light to dark, for the blooms and three green colors for the stems and leaves. The colors I used are listed below in supplies.
▪️ Completely assemble two of the roses, stems, and leaves using the layering guide included with the set, secure the layers with liquid adhesive. The last set of roses and leaves will be used to fill in areas on the card front.
3.) Create the banner.
▪️ Because the banner is a solid die, die cut the banner from ivory cardstock before stamping with black ink. Use the negative space of the die cut while stamping with a misti to help hold the banner in place.
▪️ Use a bone folder to fold along the scored lines of the banner and use thin foam squares to hold the folded ends together.
4.) Assemble the card.
▪️ Attach the two completed rose ensembles to the embossed background with liquid adhesive. I positioned one towards the top and one towards the bottom.
▪️ Attach the banner with liquid adhesive.
▪️ Fill in any areas that might need another rose or some leaves with the last set of roses and leaves from step 2.
▪️ Attach pearl embellishments.
▪️ Attach to an A2 side-fold card base with liquid adhesive.
