Hi crafty friends! I’m so excited to be participating in the Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop for the May 2024 product release. This release features baby and wedding-themed products, and it’s full of the most adorable things. The card I created for today’s blog hop features two of my favorite things from the release: the Baby Basics Stamp Set and the Layered Onesies Stencils. Those little onesies are just too cute for words!

I really wanted to create white onesies for my background, so after die cutting the largest Eyelet Rectangle from kraft cardstock, I used white pigment ink to apply the first stencil layer. Then, for the decorative details on the second layer, I used a rainbow of pastel Distress Oxides. I absolutely love how the background turned out. I think I’ll always be amazed by the magic of white pigment ink and Oxides on kraft cardstock!

Next, I heat embossed the stamped images and the sentiment with white embossing powder on more kraft cardstock. I colored the images with colored pencils and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I fussy cut the sentiment and then popped everything up with foam squares.

STEPS

1.) Create the background.
▪️ Die cut the largest Eyelet Rectangle from kraft cardstock and use low tack tape to mask the eyelet edge.
▪️ Stencil the first layer of the onesies stencils using white pigment ink. Use a pouncer or a pouncing motion when applying the ink for better results.
▪️ Use Distress Oxides to apply the second stencil layer using the same pouncing motion.
▪️ Remove low tack tape and let dry.
2.) Create the card elements.
▪️ Stamp the images and the sentiment with clear embossing ink on kraft cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
▪️ Color the images with colored pencils. Applying a layer of white pencil before adding color will help with color’s vibrancy on the kraft cardstock.
▪️ Use a white gel pen to add a dot detail to one of the onesies.
▪️ Die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
▪️ Draw a light pencil line around the sentiment as a guide and then fussy cut.
3.) Finish the card.
▪️ Use thin foam squares to attach the die cuts to the background panel.
▪️ Attach the card panel to an A2 white side-fold card base with liquid adhesive.
