Pretty Pink Posh June Instagram Hop + A Stellar Shaker Card

I created a stellar full-panel shaker card to showcase many of the awesome new things from this release, and I had a blast😉 putting this one together. I started by creating the stenciled background and shaker frame. On a blue A2 card panel, I stenciled both layers of the Layered Shooting Stars Stencil with white pigment ink. Then I splattered the panel with Frozen Fog Mica Stain. I let this dry and then die cut the second largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle from the panel, creating the frame and the background piece.

Next, I attached a piece of acetate to the reverse side of the frame with double-sided tape. Then, I centered and attached the stenciled background panel to another blue A2 card panel. I ran foam tape along the edge of this panel to create a well for the shaker material. I chose the new Stargazing Clay Confetti to fill my shaker and then secured my frame to the foam tape.

With the shaker component completed, I worked on creating the rest of the elements for the card. I started by die cutting the skyline and the street from the new City Buildings set. I chose green cardstock for the skyline and lined the windows with a layer of white cardstock and a layer of vellum. I used black and yellow cardstock for the street die cuts and secured everything to my scene, trimming them to fit.

To complete my space scene, I used a no-line coloring technique with Copic markers on images from the new Outer Space Stamp Set and die cut them with the coordinating dies. Then, I heat embossed a birthday sentiment from the Birthday Scripts Stamp Set with white embossing powder on blue cardstock and also die cut that with the coordinating die. Before attaching these to my scene, I stamped some smaller sentiments on the acetate with white Stazon ink using sentiments from the Outer Space Stamp Set and the Birthday Scripts set.

Lastly, I attached everything to the front of my shaker with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares. The finishing details were to add white gel pen highlights and Matte Silver Confetti to the spaceships.
