Pretty Pink Posh All-Star Ribbons

Score! You can’t go wrong with the latest Pretty Pink Posh release, especially when it comes to sports-themed stamps, dies, and stencils. For today’s project, I used the new Sports Stamp Set and Layered Sports Balls Stencil to create award ribbons that would be perfect for the little All-Star in your life.

I started by creating the background panel using the Layered Sports Balls Stencil and Lost Shadow Distress Ink for both stencil layers. Then I trimmed the panel to 4 x 5 1/4 inches.

Next, to create the award ribbons, I die cut one of the tags from the Stitched Essentials 1 set from orange, blue, and green cardstock. I punched a hole in the tops and added a matte gold hole reinforcer using the die included in the Stitched Essentials set.

Then, I stamped some of the images from the Sports Stamp Set and colored them with alcohol ink markers before die cutting them with the coordinating dies. I attached the die cut images to the ribbons (tags) and then heat embossed sentiments on each one with white embossing powder.

To assemble the card, I attached the ribbons to the stenciled background panel with foam squares. I looped the gold cording through the holes of the ribbons and then secured the ends to the reverse side of the panel with tape. Also on the reverse side of the background panel, I attached foam tape, leaving channels for the cording that I had taped in place. This allows the panel to lay flat without bulging from the cording. I then attached this panel to black cardstock trimmed to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.

I finished things up by die cutting a stitched circle that’s included in the Stitched Essentials set from black cardstock and heat embossing a sentiment on it with white embossing powder before popping it up with foam squares. I also stamped a few stars from the Outer Space Stamp Set, colored and die cut them, and sprinkled them around my card design.
