The Pretty Pink Posh Halloween release is now available, and one of my favorite things is the Build a Monster Dies set. The monster possibilities are endless with this set; even shaker cards are possible, and every monster you build will be adorable. I used the new Halloween Words Stencil for my background and propped up my monster on top of his stash of Candy Treats. Follow along to see how I make this fun Halloween Monster card.
To start, I stenciled the background using the Halloween Words Stencil and a rainbow of Distress Oxide Inks on kraft cardstock. Then, I splattered the background with thinned white gouache paint before die cutting it with the largest Stitched Torn Rectangle Die.
Next, I die cut the elements for my monster and all the candy treats from white and kraft cardstock. I also die cut some of the bones from the Big Halloween Cupcake Dies set. Then, I inked the kraft cardstock elements with Distress Oxides before building my monster and all the candy treats.
To assemble my card design, I attached the candy treats with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares, piling them at the bottom of the background panel. Then, I propped my monster at the top with foam squares.
To finish things up, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Sentiment Strips: Halloween Stamp Set with white embossing powder on black cardstock before die cutting it with one of the Sentiment Strip Dies. I attached the sentiment with foam squares and then layered my background panel with a white and a black cardstock panel.
Thanks for stopping by and following along as I created this fun Halloween card using just some of the wickedly good new things over in the Pretty Pink Posh shop. Project-specific products are listed and linked below, and my everyday supplies can be found here. Happy Halloween crafting, friends!
