Halloween Garland with Papertrey Ink’s New In Stitches Stamp Set

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a fun papercrafting project using the new In Stitches Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink‘s August 2024 release. I created a Halloween garland with these adorable little ghosts that you can customize with the numerous accessories that are included in the set. This garland couldn’t be easier to put together, and you can follow along below as I walk you through the steps. Let’s get started!

I started by stamping my ghosts and their little hands on white cardstock with black ink and then customized each ghost with the stitched patches, faces, and a few details I added myself with a Copic multiliner. I also stamped the accessories I wanted to use, choosing orange, purple, green, and black as my color palette. I chose a pale yellow ink for stamping the moons and then stamped the stitching detail in black.

Next, I die cut everything with the coordinating dies, and for each ghost and moon, I die cut two additional blank cardstock pieces. To assemble the garland (see photo below), I used the additional die cuts to help the twine or string lie flat without bulging. To do this, I layered all three die cuts but cut a small channel out of the middle die cut for the twine before sandwiching them together and securing with liquid adhesive. I did this for all three ghosts and the moons, alternating them with black and orange beads threaded onto the twine and secured with a little glue.

Lastly, I added all the accessories for each ghost, including their hands and their hats, the banners, and the pumpkin tote. That’s all there is to completing this adorable Halloween garland! You can easily adapt this to stamps and die sets you already own. I was thinking of creating an autumn garland with the new Into the Blooms: Acorns Die. How gorgeous would that be?

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and following along. I’ve linked the project-specific supplies in the description, and my favorite, everyday supplies can be found here. Happy crafting!
