Hi friends! Today I’m sharing another inspiration project showcasing some of the most beautiful autumn-themed products from the latest Papertrey Ink release. I layered the new Into the Blooms: Acorns Die on a distressed and glittery stenciled background and added a bold sentiment from the This is Big Sentiments: Thankful Stamp set. This card is bursting with the colors of autumn, and it’s the perfect way to express gratitude this season. Keep reading to follow along with the steps to create this Papertrey Ink inspiration project.

Into the Blooms: Acorns Die

Script Background Stencil
My first step was to create the background panel by die cutting Lawn Fawn’s Speckled Eggshell cardstock with a deckle-edged die. Then I distressed this panel by darkening just the edges with a little Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and splattering the background with Distress Inks and Wonderland Mica Stain. Next, I stenciled this panel with the Script Background Stencil using Paper Glaze Luxe in Coffee Beans – a dark brown glittery stencil paste that provides interest and dimension. Finally, I mounted the finished background on a piece of dark brown cardstock trimmed to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ .
My next step was to die cut the elements from the Into the Blooms: Acorns Die from white cardstock and ink all the elements with Distress Inks. Then, using a combination of water, Distress Inks and Oxide Inks, I added texture to the die cuts with a sea sponge and splatters from a paintbrush before assembling them and securing them with liquid adhesive. Finally, I attached these to my background panel with foam squares before adding white gel pen highlights.
My last step was to die cut the Thankful sentiment from white cardstock and then ink it with Mist Pawsitively Saturated Ink before attaching to my card. The final detail was to add a few pearl embellishments.

And that completes this inspiration project showcasing just some of the beautiful autumn-themed products from the latest Papertrey Ink release. I really like the stenciled background, especially the texture it added.
