Hi friends! Today I’m sharing yet another inspiration project featuring the In Stitches: Halloween Stamp Set from the latest Papertrey Ink release. I just can’t get enough of these whimsical ghosts and all their accessories. Plus, I really love the applique feel this set has, which I played up by layering the new Pinked Edge Squares in the background of the scene. Follow along below as I walk you through the steps to create this adorable In Stitches Halloween scene.

In Stitches: Halloween Die
Love to Layer: Pinked Edge Squares
Border Bling: Skinny Diagonal Frames
Paper Basics: Rustic White Cardstock
My first step was to stamp all of the elements for the scene. In addition to stamping on white cardstock, I stamped some of the elements on other papers, including Rustic White and Dolphin cardstocks for the ghosts and some patterned papers, as well as metallic gold for a few of the accessories. I chose black ink for my stitching details, including Stazon Jet Black ink for the metallic cardstock. The rest of the ink colors I chose are Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks, and Field, Cantaloupe, Sherbet, Butter, and Charcoal Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

After stamping, I die cut and assembled all the elements. I stacked some of the elements with blank die cuts and used foam squares in other places, like the ghosts’ hands, to create some dimension.
Next, I created the background by starting with a piece of orange patterned paper from my stash and trimmed it to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″. Then I layered on a black Skinny Diagonal Frame and the Pinked Edge Squares die cut from a black and white buffalo check paper.
Lastly, I added all of the assembled elements to my background using a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares, ensuring everything lay evenly on my card front. And that’s it for this whimsical Halloween scene showcasing the new In Stitches: Halloween Stamp Set. Head over to Papertrey Ink to grab your set before they’re gone! Happy crafting, friends!
