Halloween Pops!

It’s spooky season friends, and today I’m sharing a super fun project using a previously released favorite of mine, the Birthday Pops Stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I decided to put a new spin on these cake pops and gave them a cute Halloween makeover! I had such a blast decorating these; I even pulled in a couple of elements from the In Stitches Stamp set from the August release. Keep reading to follow along with the steps I took to create this fun Halloween Pops card!

Here are the Papertrey Ink products I used:
Birthday Pops Stamp Set
Birthday Pops Die
In Stitches Stamp Set
In Stitches Die
Cover Plate: Handmade Quilt
Just Sentiments: Spooky Mini Stamp Set

My first step was to stamp the elements I wanted to use on white cardstock. I stamped 6 cake pops and decorated them with some of the decorative details, including sprinkles and melted chocolate. For stamping, I used Rainbow Splash Buttercream Ink, Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Cantaloupe, Sherbet, and Mocha, and also gold metallic ink. I added some sparkle to some of my cake pops with glitter and a glitter pen. And, using elements from the In Stitches Stamp set, I created one jack-o-lantern pop.
Next, I stamped the mason jar using the Buttercream Ink and the metallic gold ink and added the Happy Halloween from the Just Sentiments: Spooky Stamp Set. I also stamped the stars from the In Stitches set before die cutting everything with the coordinating dies.

My next step was to create the background. From black cardstock, I die cut the cover plate and the largest Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window from Lawn Fawn. Then I splattered both with thinned white gouache paint and let it dry before attaching the scallop frame to the cover plate.

Lastly, I attached all the elements to my background. I tied some twine around the mason jar before attaching it with foam squares and a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares for everything else.

Those are the steps to creating this cute and not too spooky Halloween pop card. Thanks for stopping by, friends!
