Quilted Thanks with Waffle Flower

Hi, crafty friends! I have another sewing-themed card to share with you today showcasing some of the products from Waffle Flower’s recent release, Quilted Hugs. It’s safe to say that I’m smitten with this whole release – the little sewing notion dies, the quilted stencils, and even the punny sentiments like the one I used for today’s card. Keep reading to find a supply list and how I used those supplies to create a perfect patchwork of thanks. Let’s get started!

WAFFLE FLOWER SUPPLIES

Patchwork Stencil
Meandering Texture Die
Sew Fun Die
Quilted Frames Die
Quilted Hug Sentiments Combo

OTHER SUPPLIES

Spellbinders Brushed Silver Cardstock
SSS Cream Embossing Powder
Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt Cardstock
Distress Ink Antique Linen
Gina K Ink Plum Punch
SSS Rainbow Splash Ink Buttercream
SSS Pawsitively Saturated Ink: Gingerbread, Petunia, Pansy, Aspen, Sage, Kale

My first step was to stencil the patchwork pattern on a white cardstock panel using Buttercream, Aspen, and Petunia inks. Then I used the Meandering Texture die to add the quilted detail. I framed this panel with a quilted frame die cut from ivory cardstock before mounting everything on an A2 ivory cardstock panel.

Next, I die cut most of the elements for my card design from white cardstock and inked them using the ink colors listed above. I added a heart detail to the fabric with a small heart stamp and die cut the metal accessories from brushed silver cardstock. Then I assembled all the components and arranged them on my background. I secured the sewing machine with foam squares and used liquid glue for everything else.

To finish things up, I attached the heat embossed sentiment, die cut with the coordinating die, with foam squares and added a little sparkle to the sewing machine detail with a glitter pen.

Thank you so much for dropping in to read about my latest sewing-themed project using products from Waffle Flower’s Quilted Hugs release. I hope you’re inspired to start your next papercrafting project or your next sewing project!
