A Crabby Card for Any Occasion

Hi again! Today I’m sharing a crabby card I made using products from Waffle Flower’s Sneak Peek kit to the June release. The whole release is available now, but I found everything, well, almost everything, I needed to make this card in the kit. Let’s take a look at the supplies I used and then how this card came together.

Coastline Die-n-Stencil
Hello Sunshine Sentiments Stamp Set
PC Forest Sunset Stamp Set – birds

OTHER SUPPLIES

Hero Arts Infinity Dies Nesting Circles
Diamond Stickles
Glossy Accents
Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen

Distress Inks:
Tumbled Glass -sky

SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks:
Cookie, Gingerbread, Cocoa -sand
Clay, Terracotta – crabs
Cantaloupe, Cheeky -shells
Butter, Zest -sun
Tidepool, Aegean -sea
Flannel, Earl -rocks

My first step was to ink an A2 card panel with Tumbled Glass for the sky. Then, I used the Coastline Die-n-Stencil to create the waves, beach, and rocks for my scene. I love using the die-n-stencils that Waffle Flower designs because it takes the guesswork out of the equation, and you can create amazing results without a lot of effort. I added shading and spatter to the sand for some interest and light sponging to the rocks for a little texture. Before layering these elements on my card panel and securing them with either glue or foam squares, I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner of the sand layer.

Next, I die cut the rest of the elements for my card design from white cardstock. I used the ink colors listed above to color the die cuts, adding texture to the crabs with water and ink spatters. Then I assembled the crabs and attached them, the shells, and the sun to my scene.

The last step was to embellish the scene. First, I stamped the birds in the sky and added shimmer to the sun with the Wink of Stella pen. Then I added glossy accents to the crab’s eyes and a little sparkle to the shells and waves with Stickles. Lastly, I added white gel pen highlights.

Thanks for stopping by today to read about this crabby any-occasion card I created with the Waffle Flower Sneak Peek Kit to the June release. Happy crafting!
