This card comes together in no time, friends. First, I stenciled the wavy design on white cardstock with Tidepool ink. Then I die-cut the panel with the largest Notched Squares die, using a partial die-cutting technique to elongate the square into a rectangle. To finish up the base of my card design, I layered the notched rectangle panel onto yellow patterned paper and then onto a card base just slightly larger than an A2-sized card base. This allowed for a thin white border around the design.
Next, I stamped the images with black Copic-friendly ink and colored them with the markers listed above. This was super quick and easy coloring. With the images being so small, I used just two shades per color- a light and a midtone color. I used the coordinating circle to die-cut the images and then layered each one onto coordinating colored cardstock that I die-cut with a slightly larger circle. I attached the images randomly to my wavy background as if they were floating and bobbing across the panel.
To finish things up, I added the Summer Script text and a subsentiment that I heat embossed in white on pink cardstock. Lastly, I added a few blush pearls for embellishment.
And we are already done with this summer pastel card design! This is just one of the many ways you can use the Summer Icons Stamp Set for your summer-inspired crafting. Be sure to check out all the fun things in the Summer Section this week over at Pretty Pink Posh to take advantage of that generous discount. Happy summer!
