These shakers are pretty straightforward in terms of constructing. Let’s get shaking!

  1. I chose a fun patterned paper for each bottle and die-cut the base or backer of the shaker as well as the shaker window frame (the 3rd and 4th bottle)
  2. I chose a coordinating cardstock and die-cut the shaker window frame 7 times (1st bottle). I taped the two dies together to ensure the same cut each time. I stacked these diecuts together, inserting a tag holder somewhere in the middle, and used glue to secure each layer.
  3. I die-cut a piece of acetate to be the window (2nd bottle) and sandwiched it between the stacked window frames and the patterned paper window frame, adhering them together with glue. Now we already have the walls of the shaker and the window complete!

4. I filled the shaker well with beads or confetti as well as a few mini silver stars before attaching the patterned paper base or backer with glue. I added a plain backer to the reverse side of each of the shaker tags for a cleaner look (5th bottle). This is where you could stamp a greeting, a sentiment, or just simply write the name of the recipient.

5. Now for the fun part! I decorated the Potion Bottles with a variety of Halloween goodies. I used the shaker beads and clay confetti as my color inspiration and then shopped my PPP stash for smaller dies, stamps, and sentiments. The supply list indicates which PPP sets all the goodies are from. To finish things up, I topped each bottle with a woodgrain patterned paper and added black and white twine through the tag toppers.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out these spooktacular Potion Bottle Shaker Tags! These are so much fun to put together and I hope you’re inspired to give it a try! See you over at the IG Hop!
