Pretty Pink Posh Halloween Theme Week

Halloween greetings, friends! It’s Halloween Theme Week over at Pretty Pink Posh, which means a whole week of spooky inspiration on the blog and 15% off anything in the Halloween section! I’m sharing a fang-tastic shaker card for theme week featuring the Bat Shaker from last year’s release. I combined him with some goodies from this year’s release, like the Spooky Trees Background Stencil and a sentiment from the Halloween Greetings Stamp set. Check out my supply list below (with affiliate links), and then we’ll get started!

My first step was to create the background. I die-cut the largest Stitched Rectangle from teal cardstock and then stenciled the Spooky Trees background using Iced Spruce Distress Ink. I wanted the background to have lots of texture and interest, so I splattered the panel with three different splatter mediums: white, black, and a sparkly mica stain. Then I layered this panel on a teal cardstock panel that I inked with more of the Iced Spruce Distress Ink so it would coordinate with the stenciled trees.

My next step was to create the Bat Shaker. To create the walls of the shaker, I die-cut the bat frame 8 times from black cardstock. I sandwiched a piece of acetate between the top two layers and glued everything together. I filled the shaker with the Spellbound Beads and then glued the base piece in place. I added the fang-tastic little face, and the shaker was complete!

After attaching the Bat Shaker to my background panel, I added a couple of smaller bats, a stamped sentiment strip, and a heat-embossed greeting that I die-cut with the coordinating die. The finishing touch was to add a scattering of purple clay hearts.

Thank you so much for checking out my Halloween Theme Week inspiration featuring just a few of the spooktacular Halloween products that are discounted this week in the Pretty Pink Posh shop! Happy crafting!
