Simon Says Stamp Bright Christmas – December 2025 Card Kit of the Month

Hi crafty friends! Were you able to get the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit of the Month before it sold out?? I hope so because this kit is SO GOOD!! (If you weren’t able to get one, most of the items can still be purchased separately.) I’m really loving all the holiday goodies this Bright Christmas kit includes. There’s a stack of incredible Tim Holtz Idea-ology patterned papers, a sticker book, a super cute envelope die set, a large 6×8 stamp set, and so much more. For my card today, I used a little of all the things, with the sweet woodcut-style deer stamp as my focal point. I die-cut the deer image using a Simon Says Stamp’s Postage Stamp Edge Frame and layered it with two of the Christmas patterned papers, added a few of the festive diecuts, and finished with a gold heat-embossed sentiment. Take a peek at my supply list, and then we’ll put this Bright Christmas card together!

I started with the focal point of my card design, the stamped woodcut-style deer image. First I stamped the image twice with black ink on the included ivory cardstock. Then I die-cut around one of the images with a postage edge rectangle die using a partial die-cutting technique to create a square that measures about 3.25 x 4.25. I die-cut the other deer image with the coordinating wafer die, which cuts the deer from the surrounding wintery scene, and layered him onto the first image with thin foam squares.

Next, I chose a red plaid patterned paper to use as my background panel and trimmed it to 4.25 x 5.50 inches. I distressed the edges of this panel using my fingernail and then layered the stamped image with another patterned paper, trimmed to 3.25 x 4.25 inches, before attaching them to the plaid background panel.

To finish up my card design, I added a small die-cut postage stamp that is part of the included envelope die set. I embellished the postage stamp with a stamped star and then tucked some winter foliage diecuts behind it. I also added a small Tim Holtz Idea-ology sticker to the top of the stamped deer image. The last step was to heat emboss one of the sentiments with gold embossing powder on black cardstock, die-cut it with the coordinating die, and attach it to my card design.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my Bright Christmas card featuring many of the holiday goodies included in the Simon Says Stamp December 2025 Card Kit of the Month. See you again soon!
