My Monthly Hero January 2026 – Happy Mail!

Hero Arts has brought back the My Monthly Hero subscription, and I couldn’t be happier! I adore everything that’s included in the first kit, Happy Mail, and I thought for sure that I would create something with one of the die sets first, especially with the amazing assortment of cardstock that is included in the kit, but I was really drawn to the images in the stamp set Special Delivery, so that’s where I started. Below you’ll find a list of the supplies I used, and then we’ll talk about how this dreamy card design came together!

I started by stamping the images with a light brown ink instead of the usual black ink on white cardstock. Then I colored the images with Copic markers, choosing softer, more pastel colors, and kept shading to a minimum on these small images for a dreamy storybook feel. I also stamped the sentiment in the same light brown ink and then die-cut everything with the coordinating dies.

Next I created the base of my card and the background panel. First I die-cut the postage frame from white cardstock. Then on the inside panel leftover from die-cutting the frame, I lightly blended green ink across the bottom and blue ink across the top for a hint of grass and sky. Finally, I attached the panel and the frame to an A2 Fawn cardstock panel before popping it on a card base.

My last step was to bring everything together. I arranged the images that I colored onto the base panel and attached most of them with thin foam squares. Before attaching the mailbox, I cut a slit in the top of the mail slot so I could tuck a couple of envelopes into the slot. The finishing touch was to add a couple more pops of red with some stamped and colored hearts from my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my storybook-inspired card design that I created using the new My Monthly Hero from Hero Arts! Stay safe and happy crafting!
