Waffle Flower Crafts Egg Hunt

Hi friends! How adorable are these little chicks?? I just couldn’t resist these cuties with their bunny ears, so I picked up the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Egg Hunt Icons die set, which includes the chicks, their bunny ears, and all the other springtime goodies you see in my card design. This set coordinates with the Postage Collage Egg Hunt stencil, but I love that it includes enough dies to use on its own, like I did here. Let’s take a look at how this card came together with a list of supplies first!

I started by creating the frame and background for my design. First I die-cut the egg-shaped opening from the center of lime-green gingham patterned paper measuring 4.25 x 5.5 inches. This will be the frame for our little scene. I added two layers of tall green grass along the bottom of the frame before attaching everything to a light blue cardstock panel.

Next I got to work die-cutting all the elements for the scene. I used colored cardstock and a few pieces of patterned paper for the different components and added some shading to some of the pieces for a little depth and dimension.

After assembling all the die-cut components, I attached them to the card base using either glue or thin foam squares. I tucked the basket between the grass layers and then tucked one of the bunny-chicks and an Easter egg into the basket. I arranged the other elements around the scene and finished with a white heat-embossed sentiment from the Egg Hunt Stamp set that I die-cut with a rounded banner.

Thank you so much for checking out this adorable springtime card I created using the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Egg Hunt Icons. See you again soon!
