Hello! Today I’m sharing the last card I made using products from the latest Waffle Flower Crafts Baking Fun release. This time I used the Just Mitts Die-n-Stencil set to create a trio of super cute oven mitts for a fun kitchen-themed card. I paired them with some new sentiment stamp sets; one set gave me the main punny sentiment to coordinate with the theme, and with the other set, I created a stamped text background, which is always a good idea! This card features a text background that I created using a sentiment strip stamp from the Piped Letters set. I stamped the text multiple times in a warm neutral gray across a white cardstock panel that I trimmed to 4 x 5.25 inches. I stamped the text in a neutral color so the background didn’t compete with the other elements of the card design. After stamping the panel, I layered this behind a white scalloped frame and then attached everything to an A2 kraft cardstock panel.
Next, I die-cut the oven mitts and the embellishments from white cardstock. Then I stenciled the mitts using three of the four designs and inked the embellishments to match. Before adding the mitts to my background, I die-cut and inked a coordinating solid-colored mitt and paired it up with the stenciled one so each mitt had a match.
To finish things up, I added the stamped and die-cut sentiment and a few enamel dots for embellishment.
