Tropical Shaped Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a shaped card using a variety of stamp sets from Pretty Pink Posh, including the Summer Drinks stamp set. I chose to use just the coconut drinks from the set and created a beach sunset scene inside a Scallop Circle. I added palm leaves, tropical flowers, and a palm tree to create a fun tropical vibe. Let’s take a look at my supply list before we get started!

My first step was to create the ink-blended beach sunset for the background of my scene. I started with a white cardstock circle the same size as the large Scallop Circle and used low-tack tape to mask off the water while ink-blending the sky. To mask the sun, I die-cut a small circle from a sheet of masking paper and ink-blended around it with yellow, orange, and pink for the sunset. Then using the negative space from die-cutting the sun, I masked the sunset to ink the sun.

After ink-blending the sunset, I masked off that area while I ink-blended the water and the small area of sand. To create the mask for the sand, I cut a wavy line from a piece of low-tack tape. Before moving on, I spattered the sand with plain water, white spatter, and a darker brown ink for some texture. To finish the background, I attached a white Scallop Circle as a frame to the scene.

With the background completed, I moved on to stamping all of the images for my scene and coloring them with Copic markers. I mentioned the colors I used in the supply list. Then I die-cut them and arranged them on the sunset beach scene, and before securing them with glue or thin foam squares, I heat-embossed a small sentiment directly on the ink-blended background. I let my ink dry for a few hours before completing this step.

Finally, I used a circle slightly larger than the Scallop Circle to create a shaped card base and then added the completed beach scene to the card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my tropical shaped card I created using a variety of stamp sets from Pretty Pink Posh. Happy crafting!
