There are so many adorable products in this release and one of my favorite things is the Big Valentine Cupcake. This cupcake makes such a statement by easily filling an A2 card panel. But I think the best part is the most perfect, billowy buttercream that Pretty Pink Posh has to top your cupcake! I chose to color my die cuts with Copic markers and added all the cute toppers and accessories, including the little flag topper where I added a sentiment from the new Sentiment Strips: Valentine Stamp Set. I placed the cupcake on an ivory background made with the new Pierced Hearts Plate and paired it with the previously released Eyelet Rectangles Dies for the sweetest Valentine’s Day card.

Here is a list of all the Pretty Pink Posh Supplies I used:
Big Valentine Cupcake
Pierced Hearts Plate
Sentiment Strips: Valentine Stamp Set
Eyelet Rectangles Dies
Valentine Mug Addition Dies
(for the chocolate drizzle on the cookie)

I love how this project turned out and I hope it inspires you to create something sweet for your Valentine! The steps for this card and the additional supplies I used are listed below. Thanks for hopping along!

STEPS

1.) Die cut all the elements for the big cupcake from white cardstock, except the cupcake liner, die cut this from patterned paper. The flag topper wasn’t quite long enough for the sentiment I chose, so I lengthened it by not running it all the way through my die cut machine. And then moved the die a bit to finish die cutting the other end.

2.) Use Copic markers to color your white die cuts.

3.) With cream embossing powder, heat emboss the sentiment on the Copic-colored flag.

4.) With ivory cardstock, die cut the largest Eyelet Rectangle and the Pierced Heart Plate. Trim the Pierced Heart Plate to fit inside the Eyelet Rectangle and attach with glue. Die cut the largest Blanket Stitched Rectangle Die from Pink Fresh Studio from ivory cardstock and attach the Eyelet Rectangle to this with glue.

5.) Attach the cupcake elements with foam squares and glue. I used the foam squares down the center of the buttercream and the cupcake liner, and glue at the edges. This created a rounded, more dimensional look to the cupcake. There are slits in the buttercream to tuck in all the decorative pieces. I used glue and foam squares where needed to attach all these elements.

6.) With a white gel pen, add white highlights to the decorative cupcake toppers.

7.) Attach everything to an A2 side-fold card base.
