New! Pretty Pink Posh January 2024 Release Heart Cover Plate Shaker and Instagram Hop

For the Pretty Pink Posh Instagram Hop, I’m sharing more of the super sweet Valentine’s Day-themed products from the January release. For this project, I used the Heart Cover Plate. I love this cover plate because it can be used in so many different ways. The stitched and die-cut hearts can be used alone or with the cover plate, or just use the cover plate with some patterned papers. Whatever your heart desires!
I, of course, made it into a shaker card. Each heart is its own little shaker and is filled with what might be my favorite shaker material ever, the new Sweetheart Shaker Beads. There are Lucky Day Shaker Beads too, that have little gold beads in the mix – swoon!!🍀❤️ I think I’m obsessed with these little beads!
I inked my Heart Cover Plate in the prettiest mint green and added the previously released Large Love Shadow Die. A sentiment from the new Sentiment Strips: Valentine Stamp Set finishes this fun Valentine shaker.

STEPS

1.) Die cut the cover plate from white cardstock. With blending brushes, ink the hearts in different shades of red and pink. Ink the cover plate in mint green.

2.) Using the cover plate as a template, secure the hearts to an A2 white card panel, which will be the background of the shakers, with glue. Affix foam strips and/or foam tape all across this card panel, creating wells around each heart to hold the shaker beads.

3.) With double-sided tape, attach a piece of acetate to the back of the inked cover plate.

4.) Add the shaker beads to the wells of each heart. Place this panel into the corner of Misti to help with alignment, remove the release paper from the foam strips and foam tape, and place the cover plate on top.

5.) Ink a reverse scallop frame in the same mint green and secure to the cover plate with liquid adhesive.

6.) Die cut the love shadow die from white card stock. Ink “Love” in red with a blending brush and leave the shadow portion white. Glue these pieces together and the attach to the front of the cover plate using more glue.

7.) Die cut the small scallop strip and stamp the sentiment with red ink. Attach to the cover plate with thin foam squares. Attach everything to an A2 side-fold card base.
