Out-of-This-World Shaker Card

I have an out-of-this-world shaker card to share with you today featuring the Rocketship Shaker Dies from the latest Pretty Pink Posh release. This rocket ship is one of my favorite things from the June release, and I think it looks amazing filled with the Birthday Party Shaker Beads. I have my rocket blasting off towards the moon (part of the Floral Semicircle Dies) on a Pierced Stars Plate background. I’ll walk you through the steps to make this easy, out-of-this-world shaker card. Let’s get started!

I started by die cutting the Pierced Stars Plate from navy cardstock. Then, for the shaker window, I die cut the small body piece of the rocket from the pierced background and placed clear acetate over the space, securing it on the reverse side. Also on the reverse side, I used foam strips to create the walls of the shaker and filled the rest of the panel with foam tape before filling the shaker area with Birthday Party Shaker Beads. I removed the release paper from the foam strips and foam tape and then attached a piece of Lawn Fawn Speckled Eggshell Cardstock, trimmed to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. I used the corner of my Misti to help with the alignment of the two panels.

Next, I die cut the elements for the rocket ship from matte silver and colored cardstock and secured them to the front of the card. After die cutting the semi-circle from the Floral Semicircle Dies from yellow cardstock, I used Copic markers Y11 and Y21 to draw in some moon-craters. I added some stars using dies from the Big Celebration Cupcake and framed everything up using the stitched border die from the Fancy Cake Dies set. The final detail was to heat emboss a sentiment from the Outer Space Stamp Set with cream embossing powder directly on the pierced background.

That completes this easy out-of-this-world shaker card. Thanks for stopping by today!
