Storybook Illustrations with Pretty Pink Posh

Hi friends! I’m back sharing this darling project featuring the Baby Animals Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh. Soft ink blending for the background and brown ink for stamping the images creates a storybook style, perfect for mama duck and her little ducklings following close behind. Keep reading to see how this card design came together.

I started by creating the background by softly ink-blending green and blue Distress Inks on white cardstock and splattering it lightly with water. Then, with Copic markers, I drew in some simple cattails and grassy tufts to round out the landscape.

Next, I stamped the images from the Baby Animals Stamp Set with Lawn Fawn’s Crunchy Leaf Ink on white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images and then doubled them up with plain white die cuts before adding black glaze pen to the eyes.

Then, I die cut two border frames from white cardstock using the smaller Scallop Frame and the frame from the Nature Essentials Dies Set. I layered these with yellow gingham patterned paper and the background panel before attaching the colored and die cut images.

To finish things up, I die cut the Hello Script Die from brown cardstock a few times and stacked them before attaching it to the card front. The final detail was to add a few Ivory Pearls for embellishment.

That brings us to the end of this storybook style card featuring the super cute Baby Animals Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh.
