Pretty Pink Posh Shaped Shaker Cards & Day 2 of the August Release Instagram Hop

Hi, crafty friends! It’s Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh August 2024 Halloween Release Instagram Hop & Giveaway! This amazing release is full of the spookiest and cutest products ever, and I have some super fun shaker inspiration for you using the new Candy Corn Shaker Dies and the Bat Shaker Dies! Let’s get started!

For the shaped candy corn shaker card, I used the candy corn base die to partially die cut an A2 top-fold card base, letting the very top of the die overhang the fold just a bit while running it through my die cut machine. Then, with traditional candy corn cardstock colors, I used the divided candy corn die to create individual shaker windows, sandwiching acetate between it and the stitched candy corn die cut pieces. To create the wells for the Candy Corn Clay Confetti, I used foam strips to outline the shape of each window. I finished my shaker with a sentiment from the Halloween Corners Stamp Set, stamping it on black cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossing it with white embossing powder. I used the coordinating dies to die cut it. And lastly, a black and white gingham ribbon bow completes my shaped candy corn shaker card.

For the full moon shaped shaker card, I started with a circle die and partially die cut an A2 top-fold card base, letting the die overhang the fold just a bit while running it through my die cutting machine. Then, using the same circle die, I die cut a circle from black cardstock and attached it to the card base to be the background to the bat shaker window.
Next, I die cut a circle from ivory cardstock and then used the Bat Shaker Dies to die cut the smaller bat die from the ivory circle. I backed this with a piece of acetate to create the window. Then, I outlined the shape of the bat with foam strips to create a well for the Halloween Magic Shaker Beads and placed the card base on top.
On the card front, I added a stitched ivory circle frame and then used the Bat Shaker Dies to create a stitched frame for the bat window. I also die cut the head and face details and added them to the bat. Before adding the finishing details, I added moon craters with Copic markers, E81 and YR30.
For the finishing details, I added a sentiment from the Halloween Corners Stamp Set, stamping it on purple cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossing it with ivory embossing powder. I also die cut a couple of bats using the dies from the Ghost Holder Dies set, a few purple stars from the Halloween Magic Clay Confetti, and a black and white gingham ribbon bow.
