Winter Wreath and the Pretty Pink Posh Instagram Hop

Hi friends! In case you missed it, Pretty Pink Posh has a beautiful new release that covers all your Holiday crafting needs, and today is day 1 of the Instagram Hop, where you’ll find amazing inspiration projects. Plus, there’s a giveaway, so be sure to hop on over!

The project I’m sharing for the IG hop features the gorgeous new Holiday Wreath Builder Dies, a must-have for the holiday season, in my opinion. I paired the wreath with some previously released favorites, the Holiday Birds Dies and the Merry Christmas Shadow Dies, for a whimsical Christmas Card, with lots of wintery embellishments. Follow along as I take you through the steps to creating my project.

Pretty Pink Posh Products featured:

Holiday Wreath Builder Dies – New!
Holiday Birds Dies
Merry Christmas Shadow Dies
Eyelet Rectangles Dies
Onyx Pearls
Winter Snowflakes Clay Confetti

My first step was to create the wreath. I die cut the greenery from a medium green and a darker green cardstock and then added some subtle shading with Distress Inks. Next, I die cut the wreath ring from green cardstock (although any color would be fine since it will be covered with the greenery) and attached the greenery. I started at the top and layered each piece in the same sequence to create a symmetrical wreath design.

After the wreath was assembled, I added “snow” by applying small areas of Opaque Grit Paste with a palette knife before sprinkling with Distress Rock Candy Glitter for a little sparkle. I finished the wreath with a few red berries and a gingham ribbon bow.

Next, I attached the completed wreath to an Eyelet Rectangle background die cut from woodgrain cardstock that I had splattered with thinned, white gouache paint. I layered this with a plain white and a red plaid cardstock panel.

With the wreath and the card base completed, I die cut the elements for the bird from colored cardstock and added some shading with a Copic marker after assembling. I attached the bird with foam squares and used an Onyx Pearl for the eye.

The final steps were to add the Merry Christmas Shadow that I die cut from white and black cardstock, a scattering of white clay snowflakes, and a few white gel pen highlights for the beak and the berries.

That’s it for this sweet, whimsical Christmas card featuring the gorgeous new Holiday Wreath Builder Dies from Pretty Pink Posh. Be sure to hop along with us over on Instagram and then head to the shop to check out all the goodies in the new release. Happy crafty shopping, friends!
