Frosty Wishes

Who doesn’t love Frosty the Snowman?? The card I’m sharing today evokes all the holiday excitement I felt every year growing up. When Frosty the Snowman and A Charlie Brown Christmas aired, you knew it really was the best time of the year!

For this Frosty the Snowman-inspired project, I used the Postage Collage Snowman Stencil from Waffle Flower. I layered the snowmen images on a background from Brass & Bliss Craft Co and finished with some frosty holiday sentiments. You’ll find the project-specific supplies I used listed below and my favorite everyday supplies here. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Brass & Bliss Craft Co Frosty Background

Paper Glaze Luxe – Artic Fox – large snowflake
Lawn Fawn Minty Fresh Ink Pad – background color

Pawsitively Saturated InksDistress Inks
Dusk – text background
Night – buttons
Clay – noses
Terracotta – noses
Black Soot – eyes
Gathered Twigs – arms

My first step was to stamp the text background on a 4 x 5 1/4 inch white cardstock panel with a medium blue ink. Then I mounted this on a blue A2 cardstock panel to provide a thin border.

Next, I die cut the Postage Collage base from white cardstock. Then I stenciled the snowmen with the inks listed above and used sparkly stencil paste for the large snowflake. Before snipping them apart into individual stamps, I added white gel pen highlights to the eyes and shading to the snowmen with a glitter brush pen. Finally, I attached them to the background panel with liquid glue and/or foam squares.

My final steps were to add minty green snowflakes and some sentiments. I used the round die from the Postage Collage Die Set to die cut the round Merry Christmas stamp. Also, I heat embossed a sub-sentiment with white embossing powder on a black sentiment strip and lastly, stamped and die cut the main sentiment before attaching everything with glue and/or foam squares.
