Hero Arts My Monthly Super Hero August 2026

Hello! Thank you for stopping by! I finally received my Super Hero subscription from Hero Arts and couldn’t wait to start creating with this charming library and book-themed kit. I started with the Big Book Die Set, pairing it with the Classic Floral Layering Stencil to create the book cover, and used the Novel Prose Bold Print Cling Stamp for the text background panel. Check out all the supplies I used, and then we’ll get started!

I started by creating the focal point for my card design, the Big Book. All of the dies for this impressive book are included in the kit, including all the decorative details and the accessories. I chose the mint green cardstock from the kit for my book and added subtle shading and contrast with Distress Inks before assembling the pieces and securing them with a liquid adhesive. For the decorative details on the spine of the book and for the border on the cover, I used matte gold cardstock. Then I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to fit inside the decorative border of the cover and stenciled it using the Classic Floral Layering Stencil before attaching it. To finish the book assembly, I first heat-embossed a sentiment with gold embossing powder on one of the decorative labels die-cut from mint green cardstock, added subtle shading to the edges, and then attached it to the book front.

Next, I created the background panel. I started with a piece of fern cardstock trimmed to 4.25 x 5.5 inches and stamped it with the text pattern using white pigment ink. Before attaching the book with thin foam squares, I spattered the panel with a mixture of perfect pearls and water for my favorite gold splatter. With the book in place, I added the accessories. I created a bookmark with merlot and matte gold cardstock and eyeglasses with vellum and matte gold cardstock. I added these to my card design and decided a few roses to coordinate with the stenciling would balance the overall color and composition.

And that’s all there is to creating this charming book-themed card design featuring products from the newest My Monthly Super Hero from Hero Arts. Thanks again for being here and happy crafting!
