My Monthly Hero April 2026 – House Plants

Hello! I’m back to share my second card featuring products from the Hero Arts My Monthly Super Hero April 2026 kit. For this card, I used the House Plants Stamp & Cut for all the images along with the Hello Beautiful stamp set for the curved sentiment. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I’m loving the botanical theme of this month’s kit, and these houseplants are no exception. I created a rounded window for the backdrop to my indoor scene and nestled the houseplants against it, creating a cozy spot for a napping kitty. Let’s take a look at how this came together after I give you my supply list.

I started with stamping all the images on white cardstock with black copic-friendly ink. Then I colored the images using the Copic markers listed above before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I colored the pots and baskets either a neutral color or the same blue shade that I planned to use for the background panel. With so many images, I wanted to keep things consistent and not introduce too many colors. Plus, I wanted the different greens of the plants to stand out and not necessarily the pots.

My next step was to create the rounded window using the nesting domes dies. Using two of the dies and fawn cardstock, I die-cut a window frame. Then I lightly inked the inside panel with blue ink before spattering it with black splatter and inked the bottom ledge piece with brown Distress Inks. Lastly, I assembled the window and attached it to a Lakefront cardstock panel.

With the window backdrop completed, it was time to arrange the house plants in the scene. I attached the back row directly to the cardstock with glue and then attached the front row with thin foam squares. I nestled the napping kitty amongst the plants and added a couple of the moths flitting about. Finally, I added the curved sentiment that fit perfectly along the top of the rounded window.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out this cozy scene card featuring the House Plants Stamp & Cut set from the Hero Arts My Monthly Super Hero April 2026 kit. See you again soon!
