Hi friends! I have a shaker card featuring the new Bee Additions Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh to share with you today, and it’s the bee’s knees! I paired these sweet bumblebees with the Layered Bee Additions Stencils and created a shaker element using the Rounded Stitched Rectangles and Matte Gold Confetti. Take a peek at the supplies I used, and then I’ll walk you through this easy Bee Additions shaker card!

My first step for this project was to stencil the background panel. I used yellows, golds, and browns and stenciled on a white cardstock panel. I spattered the panel with black splatters and then set it aside while I worked on the other elements of my card design.
My next step was to stamp and color the images from the Bee Additions set. I used brown ink for stamping and used Copic markers for coloring (the markers I used are listed in the supplies). I chose brown ink for stamping to coordinate better with the background and used black ink only for the dotted trail from one of the bees and the sentiment stamped on the pennant. Speaking of the pennant, I die-cut it from white cardstock and colored it with the BG11 Copic marker to match the wings on the bees and the daisies. Finally, I die-cut the images with the coordinating dies and added a little sparkle to the wings and the daisies with a glitter marker.

With most of the elements for my card completed, I worked on constructing the shaker. This is a super easy shaker construction. First, I created two frames using two of the Rounded Stitched Rectangles and inked one of them with brown ink to coordinate with the stenciling on the background panel. Then I sandwiched a piece of acetate between the two frames and secured the layers with double-sided tape. The last steps were to add foam tape to the reverse side of the frame, scatter the matte gold shaker bits onto the center of the stenciled panel, and then center the frame on the stenciled panel. So easy!
To wrap things up, I arranged the stamped and colored images onto the card front, attaching them to the shaker window using double-sided tape and using glue for anything on the frame. My final step was to heat-emboss the word “friend” with white embossing powder on cardstock that I had inked with brown ink and let dry completely before die-cutting it, layering it with another plain white die-cut, and attaching it with double-sided tape.
