Hello and happy Friday! This lovely lady is cool as a cucumber as she sips a mojito poolside. At least that’s what I imagined while creating this beauty using components of the June My Monthly Super Hero kit from Hero Arts. I couldn’t wait to jump into their latest kit, Soak Up the Sun, which is full of warm summer vibes featuring the coolest collection of summertime goodies. This lovely lady came together easily and quickly with just a handful of die-cuts needed to assemble her. I used colored cardstock for my die-cuts, choosing sunny yellows for her outfit. When I assembled her, I moved the bow to her shoulder and finished with a fresh flower in her sun hat. For her drink, I used the citrus slices and ice cubes included in the set and added a small mint leaf to create a refreshing mojito.
I wanted some interest but nothing too busy for the background and decided on an embossing folder for subtle texture. I attached the assembled lovely lady to the background panel and added a scripty sentiment to her sun hat.
