Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today I’m sharing another garden-inspired card showcasing products from the latest Waffle Flower release, Green Thumb. This time I incorporated the Postage Collage Gardening Stencil along with some of the new die sets while adding a stamped cheesecloth background for interest and texture. Check out all the supplies I used for this card design, and then we’ll get started!

My first step when creating this card was to start with the stenciling. I stenciled the entire PC Gardening stencil onto a white Postage Collage panel. I like to die-cut the cardstock first because I find it helps me line up the stencils. I snipped the collage into individual postage scenes and set them aside while I got to work on the die-cut elements of my design.
For the die-cuts, I started with colored cardstock and added subtle shading to the pieces with darker coordinating ink colors. For anything metal, like the gardening tools and the nozzle on the hose, I used matte silver cardstock.

Next, I stamped the cheesecloth background onto a white A2 cardstock panel and then die-cut it with a deckle-edged die to mimic the frayed cheesecloth edges. I mounted this onto a white card base and then arranged the different elements onto my stamped background. I decided to use only two of the stenciled Postage Collage images and snipped apart the tomato plant so I could tuck the pieces into different areas of my design. I used either glue or thin foam squares to secure the elements to my background panel. Finally, I added a stamped and die-cut sentiment and finished with some white gel pen highlights.
Thank you so much for reading about my garden-inspired card design featuring products from the Waffle Flower Green Thumb release. Happy gardening!
