Pretty Pink Posh Summer Hibiscus

Hi friends! I’m sending you good vibes today with this beachy floral card featuring the gorgeous Hibiscus Flowers die set from Pretty Pink Posh. I paired the flowers with the Good Vibes Shadow die set and tucked in small seashells and sparkling coral pieces to really play up the beachy feel. Check out the supplies I used below, and then I’ll walk you through how this floral beauty came together.

I started this card by die-cutting and assembling all the elements for my design. I chose colored cardstock for everything except the coral pieces, which I die-cut from plain white cardstock. I added shading to the pieces with ink before assembling them and decided to add a little sparkle to my design by adding glitter to the coral pieces.

Next I created the background. I started with a kraft cardstock panel and die-cut it using the Sunburst Pieced Plate and then spattered the panel with white splatter. Then I distressed the edges of the panel before attaching it to a top-fold card base. Now I was ready to arrange and secure the die-cuts to the background panel.

I arranged the flowers in what started as a wreath shape but in the end doesn’t really look like one. With the flowers in place, I attached them using glue or foam squares depending on their placement and whether they overlapped each other. Then I tucked the seashells and coral pieces in and around the flowers, securing them the same way. My last step was to add the greeting. I die-cut the text from white cardstock and added glitter to coordinate with the coral pieces and die-cut the shadow piece from kraft cardstock to coordinate with the background. I attached the greeting die-cuts with foam squares to finish my card design.
