Hero Arts Let’s Ride

Welcome, friends! Today I’m sharing another card featuring products from this month’s My Monthly Super Hero from Hero Arts, which might just be my favorite kit so far. I used the Let’s Ride die set to create this scene, and I absolutely love how it turned out. I shopped my Hero Arts stash and found the Leaves in the Wind Bold Print stamp and knew it would be the perfect background for this card. Can’t you just feel the cool breeze swirling around you?? Take a peek at the supplies I used, and then let’s ride!

My first step was to die-cut and assemble all the elements for the scene. I started with colored cardstock for most of the pieces but chose matte silver for a few of the accent pieces on the scooter and sidecar. Before assembling the pieces, I added subtle shading and contrast to the scooter, sidecar, and basket with Distress Inks, and for her skin and hat, I chose to use Copic markers. Finally, I assembled the pieces and secured them with glue.

Next, I stamped the background image onto a light blue cardstock panel using Uncharted Mariner Distress Ink. Then I arranged the completed die-cut elements onto the panel and secured them with either glue or foam squares. My last step was to add the stamped and white heat-embossed greeting that I die-cut with the coordinating die before attaching it to my card front.
